What’s CoolSense?
CoolSense is our commodity name for a series of pure cooling agents and its compounds. (Abbreviation::CS)
The traditional coolants like menthol, peppermint oil and eucalyptus oil have the advantages of fast eruption and strong stimulation of cool feeling. But meanwhile they have the disadvantages of very strong characteristic smell, which is easy to volatilize at high temperature and contains bitter taste at high dosages.
In order to satisfy customer’s demands, it is important to develop a new cooling agent which should have strong cool feeling, non-peppermint, characteristic smell and no high volatility.
Now our CoolSense can satisfy these advantages which can expand a great extent of different applications.
How to feel cooling?
The feeling of cool and pungency are induced by the similar mechanism.Industrialization on the special receptor (trigeminal nerve) when special compounds touch the oral tissue and nerve, such feeling fills the whole mouth.
The mechanism of cool sense is the function of +ions channel of TRPM8.
Cold sensitivity is not associated to a specific transduction molecule but results from a favorable blend of ionic channels expressed in a small subset of sensory neurons.
TRPM8, is a member of the TRP family of excitatory ion channels, functions as a transducer of cold stimuli in the somatosensory system.
